The photos don’t do justice to Salty Dog Beach House! This is a spacious, beautifully furnished holiday home that’s pet-friendly, with plenty of yard for a hound to run around and a short walk to a long stretch of dog off-leash beach. But it wasn’t just perfect for our greyhound – we loved it, too! The multiple decks captured the sea breezes and it seemed like there’s always a patch of sun and a patch of shade so we could find the perfect spot to sit. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the deck, cooked in the fully equipped kitchen, and visited some nearby restaurants for dinner. The main bedroom has a super-comfy bed and lovely walk-through robe and ensuite, plus its own small deck; we didn’t use the other bedrooms but they are each well equipped and the main bathroom even has a spa bath! Being the middle of winter, it was a bit cold for me to hop in the pool, but it looked very inviting. The Wi-Fi is fast and the TVs in both the lounge and the media room are giant, perfect for a movie night. When we collected the keys, the hosts made sure we had plenty of information about dining and entertainment options in the area. As a result, we got the chance to book in for the special 5-pot curry lunch by chef Peter Kuruvita at Noosa Beach House. They phoned once during our stay to check we had everything we needed – another example of resort service but with the privacy of self-contained accommodation. I would highly recommend Salty Dog Beach House if you’re looking for laid-back luxury by the beach, especially if you’re travelling with a hound or with a few extra members of your family or friend groups.
